The prefect of Aveyron Charles Giusti will take up his new role as prefect of Eure on Monday November 18. Before joining Evreux, he takes a look in the rearview mirror. During an interview, he praised “the Aveyron method” summed up as “a true spirit of entrepreneurship and seeking solutions”.
After two years spent at the Aveyron prefecture, can you give the strengths of the department? Charles Giusti: In Aveyron, there is a real spirit of entrepreneurship and seeking solutions. Economic and associative actors and elected officials do not feel sorry for difficulties which can be real and multiple but are always in a collective search to solve a problem, ensure an activity or develop a project. What I have always called the “Aveyron method”. This collective spirit which brings everyone around the table to work and seek solutions. A huge asset for this department. Another advantage is that we are in a peaceful territory. Human relationships are fluid, natural. Without being gimmicky, people know how to talk to each other. With a form of respect for the rules of life in society and institutions so that there is the most harmonious functioning possible. All of this leads to a form of living together. A way of expressing oneself, of relating to others, of working together on projects which is a great asset for this department.
