The construction site lasted eight weeks in L'Aigle (Orne). There renovation is impressive. A client says “you pushed the walls!” “. The store actually seems bigger. This is a sign of successful work.

It is impossible to know when the store dates back to. The owners, Sébastien and Swandie Derouet took over the bakery in 2021. But “La Mascotte Normande” has existed since the 1940s. A bakery is a small business. Here there are no less than 12 people who work. Apprentices included. From 2:30 a.m. the bread is cooked.

Accessible to people with reduced mobility

Welcoming PRMs (People with Reduced Mobility) was an imperative for the bakery. The steps have been removed. The store is on one level. Sébastien and Swandie Derouet took advantage of it to modernize reception and store front.

Total cost ofinvestment€300,000. After the bakery “lab”, in other words the bread making workshop, renovated in 2019. This time the bakery The Norman Mascot is entirely up to date.
