Do you keep games and toys in your cellars, attics, cupboards or shelves that you no longer use? From November 18 to 30, 2024, come and drop them off in one of the 11 recycling centers of the Point Fort Environnement de la Manche network, which participates, in partnership with the Tri-Tout Solidaire association, in the national operation “Let your heart speak”.

All kinds of toys accepted

This is the opportunity to do fun for children for Christmas, but also to make a gesture in favor of the environment, through reuse.

“It’s number 9e year that Point Fort and Tri-Tout Solidaire took part in the operation, explains Isabelle Lehodey, communications manager at Point Fort. The first year, only one recycling center participated. Today, the 11 we manage are stakeholders. »

And last year, between 800 kg and one ton toys were collected.

All kinds of toys are accepted: electric, electronic, wooden, construction, board, stuffed animals, dolls, etc.

The 11 recycling centers where you can drop off your toys

Your toys – in good condition – can be dropped off in 11 recycling centers equipped with a collection point for toys.

Eight are located in the territory of Saint-Lô Agglo: in Saint-Lô, Condé-sur-Vire, Saint-Martin-de-Bonfossé, Pont-Hébert, Le Dézert, Marigny-le-Lozon, Tessy-Bocage and Saint-Lô Clair-on-Elle. The three other participating recycling centers are those of Carentan-les-Marais, Villedieu-les-Poêles and Percy-en-Normandie.

“A collection point is also open within the Saint-Lô media library,” specifies Isabelle Lehodey.

Toys then sorted by Tri-Tout Solidaire

Once donated, the toys will be verified by the Tri-Tout Solidaire association, created in 2005: objects with electronics will be tested and repaired if necessary; games and toys with small pieces, such as puzzles or Lego boxes, will be counted to ensure they are complete.
