It was in the presence of 22 of its members that the club's general meeting was held on November 22 at La Rouquette. President Gérard Bousquet first took stock of the past season. The 3 teams entered with veterans had varying fortunes. The 1 in the first division is proud to be able to bring the Aveyron champion trophy back to the club. Teams 2 and 3 appear in the first part of their tables. In the open championship, the two teams entered were unable to compete in their division with teams of a higher level than theirs and will therefore play in a lower division next year. Then the financial report showed a surplus mainly due to the organization by our club of the finals of the open championships on the Villeneuve site. The secretary reported on participation in the qualifiers for the various championships and several qualifications for the final phases were noted. The upcoming season has been discussed and some arrivals at the club are expected. At the office level, few changes to note except the arrival of Annie Issoulié as co-president, replacing Guy Cathala who wanted to take a step back. Licensees must remember the date of Thursday, December 12 when they must, if possible, go to Larouquette to apply for the renewal of their license. The 4 town halls were thanked for their support of the club as well as the company Bousquet Jérome for the windbreakers that it offered to all the club's players. The meeting ended with an aperitif offered by the members of the Aveyron champion team and with a succulent aligot and venison meal, the latter having been given by the Vailhourles hunting society. Our cooks once again demonstrated their talents. The day could not end without a few fierce bowling games where the winners won thanks to their talent and the losers lost due to bad luck… Anyone interested in the friendly practice of pétanque or in competition can contact a manager of the club. Please note that training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday either in St Grat, Larouquette or at the Villefranche bowling alley if the weather is not favorable for practicing this sport outdoors.
