The SMUR (mobile emergency and resuscitation service) Senlisin the south of Oise, resumed its activities 24/7 on Tuesday November 12, 2024, after three years of shutdown due to lack of staff.
The reopening of this service, interrupted since December 2021, was announced by the Public Hospital Group of the South of Oise (GHPSO).
Local emergency care
A recruitment plan was put in place to establish two SMUR teams, made up of doctors, nurses and paramedics, now mobilized at Senlis and to Creilto guarantee local emergency care to the inhabitants.
It “marks an essential strengthening of emergencies in the south of Oise, allowing fast support critical situations: serious accidents, heart attacks, respiratory distress, etc.,” underlines the City of Senlis.
But the emergency rooms still closed
For Eric Woeth, deputy (Together for the Republic) of the 4e constituency of Oise, it is “a first step before the reopening of emergencies of the Senlis site”. “Health is an essential issue for residents. It is a long and difficult fight that we are waging tirelessly.”
