This Wednesday, November 13, 2024, a dozen students from the University of Moufia in Saint-Denis in association with La Réunion des livres presented the 2024 selection for the Métis student novel prize. The winner of the competition will be chosen in early 2025 (Photo: University of La Réunion)
Here we go again, the Métis novel prize returns… but this time the choice was made by the students. A dozen students from the University of Moufia presented the 2024 selection.
For this first edition, 80 students from Reunion Island registered to be jurors. They come from literary fields, but also Law, Life Sciences, Staps, Spanish, Anthropology, Infocom, Geography, Language Sciences, Psychology…
Three titles are in the running:
– The rarest fruit or the life of Edmond Albius by Gaëlle Bélem (Gallimard)
– What I know about you by Éric Chacour (Philippe Rey)
– Of ruins and glory of Akli Tadjer (Les Escales)
The winner will be chosen in early 2025 and will tour participating establishments around April 2025.
