Good news is emerging for employers: the government plans to reverse the efforts required of companies, notably retaining the reduction in charges on low wages. Report in Essonne.

A family industrial company in Ris-Orangis, in Essonne, has around sixty employees. Most are paid a little more than minimum wage. The boss is now relieved, because the government could review its copy and maintain the reduction in charges for low wages in its draft budget for the year 2025.

The elimination of reductions in charges planned by the executive would thus go from 4 billion euros to only 2 billion in savings to be made, targeting only higher salaries. “We are in a very competitive market, every cent counts, […] this allows us to promote products made in France.”explains Thomas Liccioni, owner of Mistral Coolers.

The Barnier government is taking a step towards the Macronists, who reject any increase in labor costs. But for the left, this concession is a real step backwards, because savings must still be found elsewhere. “Money that is not found in businesses will be found in the sick, the unemployed, the retired”fears Olivier Faure, the first secretary of the Socialist Party.
