Since November 7, a drivers' strike has paralyzed the Cergy-Pontoise bus network. Meeting on Tuesday, November 12 in a community council, the elected officials of Cergy-Pontoise unanimously voted for a motion “for a rapid return to normal of the public bus service”.
In its text, the community council “asks all stakeholders to continue negotiations for a rapid resolution of the situation” and “expresses its solidarity with users, in particular employees and students, who have suffered transport difficulties since the beginning of this crisis.
The elected officials of Cergy-Pontoise also indicate that they support “the legitimate expectations of employees regarding their working conditions and reaffirm their requirement to maintain working conditions equivalent to those of the previous delegatee. »
“We need a quality bus service, essential for the daily life of Cergypontains, and we must find solutions to achieve this without compromising the working conditions of drivers. Cergy-Pontoise users deserve an efficient transport service that meets their expectations. We ask that a return to normal be made quickly in order to meet the daily needs of residents,” specifies Jean-Paul Jeandon, Ps president of the Cergypontaine agglomeration.
At Fo's call, a social movement affects the network managed by Francilité Seine et Oise, a subsidiary of Lacroix and Savac, on behalf of Ile-de-France Mobilités. A strike massively followed by drivers who denounce a deterioration in their working conditions since September and the takeover by Fso after fifty years of operation by Stivo (Société de transports interurbans du Val-d'Oise). This Wednesday, November 13, the Cergy-Pontoise Confluence bus network, 32 lines which serve the urban area and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, is still paralyzed by the strike. No buses run.
