Two young men were arrested for firearm possession after being involved in a robbery at the Galeries de la Capitale a week ago.
The burglary occurred on November 4, in one of the entrances to the shopping center, during a conflict between two groups of young people. A backpack was then stolen.
The suspects, two men aged 18 and 23 respectively, were apprehended and met by investigators on Tuesday. These are individuals known to police circles.
They are accused of possessing a firearm, false identification and dangerous driving.
Three searches took place simultaneously in the Saint-Raymond area, in Portneuf, where a pistol, $2,600 in cash, six cell phones, two fake driving licenses and an SUV were seized.
The two suspects were scheduled to appear Tuesday at the Quebec courthouse.
