The “nice” operation must take place in Nîmes on the evening of Monday 18 to Tuesday 19 November to express the dismay of farmers in Gard. Like everywhere in France…
After a protesting start to the year, Gard farmers are announcing a new mobilization from Monday, November 18 with the launch of an operation called “nice” which should take place in the evening.
The FDSEA and the Young Farmers of Gard are therefore calling for new actions in the coming weeks without specifying which state organizations will be targeted. Large stores and their logistics platforms could also be in the crosshairs. “Last winter, it was anger. Now, it’s despair and it’s much more serious!”confides David Sève, from the FDSEA du Gard. “We have a lot of doubts about public speaking.”
A third of farmers in very serious difficulties
A third of farmers are in very serious difficulties according to the unions. On the side of the Young Farmers of Gard, President Romain Angelras announced the slogan that will be heard during these actions: “You won’t cash in until we cash in. […] The State must start working with us quickly. The number one problem is that we no longer have cash flow in our operations after a costly year. The situation is much more complicated than last year.”
For its part, Rural Coordination is talking about actions throughout France before the prefectures or sub-prefectures on Tuesday, November 19.
