Currently operated under the Esso brand, the concession of theCantepie area on the RN13 is to renew for the next 20 years.
Near the manor of the same name
This area is located on the edge of the RN13, between Carentan (Manche) and Isigny-sur-Mer (Calvados), near the commune of Veys (delegated municipality of Carentan-les-Marais).
It takes its name from the eponymous manor erected at the beginning of the 16th century.e century nearby. This mansion was purchased by the General Council of La Manche (now Departmental Council), then repurchased in early 2015 by a group of American investors before being the subject of legal proceedings.
The public call for tenders relating to the “renewal of the concession of the Cantepie area, located on the RN13” was launched on October 31, 2024 by Dirno (Directorate of North-West interdepartmental roads). Interested companies must submit the file no later than March 4, 2025.
First renewal since 1995
The call for tenders consists of the “attribution of the concession for the renovation and/or the redevelopment of the area; financing of investments; operation, upkeep and maintenance of facilities and equipment; as well as the operation of fuel distribution, shop, catering and electric vehicle charging service activities in the Cantepie area, located on the RN13, in the commune of Carentan-les-Marais, at the risks and perils of the dealer. »
“This is the first concession renewal for this area concessioned in 1995. The concession will be renewed for 20 years (2025-2045),” informs the communications department from the Dirno that we requested.
But the State services could not say more: “Given that the concession contract is in publication, we cannot give more details apart from what is already in the file, for compliance with the procedure, so as not to advantage certain candidates. »
