“Well there you go!” : Valérie Pécresse sticks up Apolline de Malherbe early in the morning

It's a difficult reality. In 2025, the Île-de- region will have to make savings because of the measures decided by the Barnier government. During a press conference on the 2025 budget this Tuesday, November 12, Valérie Pécresse regretted
“a stroke of the plane”. “We are in no way responsible for the increase in State debt, for the increase in the deficit. I would like to remind you that the State does not provide operating grants to the Ile-de-France region. The region receives taxes and there, we will be deprived of the income from these taxes”,
she denounced.

Very upset, the president of the Île de France region estimated that
“the region will be impacted in two ways.” First of all, by the overestimation of the government's growth hypotheses and therefore of the VAT revenues that Île-de-France was to receive. “Which means that we have been deprived of a good part of our revenue in 2024,”
she assured. “And for 2025 it is a second blow. It is the State which has decided to deprive the Île-de-France region both of the dynamics of these tax revenues but also of part of these revenues of operation. Arbitrarily and unanimously.she continued.

“I think we need to go much further”

Guest on Apolline de Malherbe's show on BFM this Wednesday, November 13, Valérie Pécresse returned to the expectations of the French regarding the government: “The French are watching us and they expect us to put the country back afloat”she confided. And to add : “I think we need to go much further but it takes time.”

The president of the region then congratulated herself on having already closed several structures. She then asked Apolline de Malherbe: “You are from the Ile-de-France region. Do you know any of the 15 structures that I closed?” To which the journalist responded frankly: “No, I admit no.” Valérie Pécresse then blurted out:
“There you go!”

Valérie Pécresse's rant

This Tuesday, Valérie Pécresse assured that she supported the Barnier government “because unfortunately our country has no choice but to vote on a budget today.” “I think that the Senate will restore some reason to what will be presented to parliamentarians. But I am very dissatisfiedthere is a side of bad management in this way of doing things”she clarified. And to add: “It’s because it’s Île-de-France, it immediately brings in 220 million and there’s only one person screaming. But that’s not how we manages France.”

For the president of the Île-de-France region says,
“all the projects I support are essential.” “We have
emergencies to financewe had the money to finance them and we no longer have it. I'm really very sad. All the credit suspension decisions that I make, I take them really reluctantly”,
she concluded.
