Opening a haberdashery and a sewing workshop in the city center of (Mayenne) is the challenge that Lucie Pajot, a 28-year-old from Laval, took on. “ After my studies at the Beaux-Arts in (Ille-et-Vilaine), I worked in interior design. I have always been passionate about sewing so, alongside my work, I founded my own business in January 2023. I was already offering the making of accessories and bananas.

This first experience made him want to settle in a room. “ I also wanted to develop a haberdashery department. » There you can find fabric, haberdashery, but also products made by Lucie: fanny packs, pencil cases, quilted jackets, accessories for adults, blankets, cuddly toys, backpacks or bath capes for children. “ Everything is customizable with a name or nickname. »

Themed workshops

It is possible to participate in themed workshops to, for example, make a fanny pack or a pouch. “ I also suggest patterns and support clients during their creation. » Customers can also come and rent a sewing machine on site for €10 per hour.

Lucie's little workshop, 4, rue du Lieutenant in Laval. Open Tuesday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Group sewing classes on Wednesday, Saturday and Thursday; duration: 2 hours; 5 people maximum; €15 per person.
