– The Navigo Pass is essential for those used to public transport in Île-de-France.
If the Navigo Pass has become an essential for public transport regulars in Île-de-France, other transport tickets are highlighted. Occasional travelers will have fewer options for their trips with two transport tickets. Île-de-France Mobilités announced this Tuesday that the new pricing public transport in the Ile-de-France region will come into force January 1, 2025. A simplification of choices which will automatically put an end to the 50,000 possible combinations currently across the region. The goal stated by the regional transport authority Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) is in the direction of simplify the pricing system and of put Ile-de-France residents on an equal footing.
From January 2025, the establishment ofa single ticket for 2.50 euros in order to travel with the metro, the RER and the Transilien, regardless of the destination or the distance traveled will be implemented. According to a press release from the Île-de-France region, a new Navigo day pass unique will see the light of day, sold at the price of 12 euros (compared to 20.60 euros previously), but it will not provide access to airports.

The price of the Liberté+ pass on the rise
At the same time, a single ticket for airports will be introduced at a price of 13 euros. Finally, the price of the Paris Visite single ticket will be marketed at the price of 29.90 euros with access to the airports. As for the Liberté+ pass, the most advantageous transport ticket, it will also increase in 2025 from 1.73 euros per journey to 1.99 euros (for metros, RER and trains) as well as 1.60 euros (for buses and trams).
