WASHED CETACEAN – On Sunday, the corpse of a humpback whale was found on a beach in the English Channel, suggesting that it was the specimen observed in Le Havre in October
The whale seen in the Seine recently could be the one that was found dead this Sunday on a beach in Normandy. According to Paris-Normandythe corpse of a cetacean has been evacuated and analyzes are underway to find out if it is the specimen spotted several times in the Seine during the month of last October.

Successful whale towing operation
The corpse of the humpback whale was taken care of by the maritime customs services of Cherbourg. It was towed towards the Jonville hold in order to prevent the rotting whale from reaching the oyster beds of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue. Once on the beach, the remains must be analyzed.
