The roads of Lot-et-Garonne are bereaved again this Tuesday, November 12, 2024 with a new fatal accident having taken place on the commune of La Croix-Blanchebetween Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot, at 6:30 a.m.

In circumstances which remain to be clarified, a 20-year-old man lost his life in the accident. He had to be extricated from his vehicle by firefighters when they arrived.

A super-accident with five vehicles in total

The drama happened on national road 21the main road axis of Lot-et-Garonne, which notably connects Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot.

Is it the traffic that caused this but an accident would have occurred before the arrival of emergency services. A total of five cars were involved.

A 43-year-old man, slightly injuredwas transported to Agen hospital while another 52-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, also involved in the accident, did not present any injuries.

National road 21 closed to traffic

The scale of the accident caused the closure of national road 21 at the location of the accident. At 9:15 a.m., it was still closed to traffic and a diversion was put in place.

This tragedy brings the number of deaths to 20 on the roads of Lot-et-Garonne in 2024.
