What if we went to Brittany for the holidays? Often this region wars with the south of France as the favorite destination of the French. But for other seasons, the battle becomes less tough. In the south, we know that we can still see a little warmth there, and a few flowers from the rest of the summer. But in the north, you can see landscapes that totally correspond to the season. These range from sublime antique houses redecorated for All Saints' Day to hyper-realistic Christmas villages. And yes, rather than trying to make summer last forever, let's head towards seasonal villages. Rather than villages, what if we escaped to enjoy destinations that we think are summery, but which are not necessarily: islands. Brittany has many of them and this one will become our favorite destination for the next short vacation.
But which island are we talking about?
Located in the north of Brittany, we are going towards Finistère to discover an island with a name starting with a B. By elimination, there is only one left, it is theisland of Batz. Yes, like our girly dolls from the 2000s, but without the R. To get there, you have to take the road towards Morlaix. Here you will find the port of Roscoff which will take us to this little corner of Paradise. You have to pay attention to the schedules, because in low season, there are fewer return trips. We find a boat every hour, even every hour and a half to go to the island that rhymes with Bratz. The trip costs 11 euros, or 50 times cheaper than a trip to the Antilles.

What to do on Ile de Batz?
First of all, we can worry about where we are going to sleep. And, yes, we don’t plan to sleep under the stars. There, you can find sublime chalets. This will make this distinction between summer and winter holidays very well. We will have the mountain chalet, except that it will be near the beach. Because, yes, like any self-respecting island, Batz has beaches. Even if you don't want to swim there, you can appreciate the white sand, like that of Poull Zarab beach. Otherwise, you can do a lot of sport there. Bicycle rental, maritime excursions, boating, but also horse riding are part of the island's activities.

Why go to this one?
First of all, spending time outside of France allows us to breathe a little. Even if the island is located in France, we still have this disconnection effect when we leave Earth. In addition, the seascapes, the salty air and the sea wind transport us into an atmosphere that changes from that of our daily routine. We appreciate theirs and the colors. Lots of blue and white houses make us want to take walks and the hydrangeas, dear to the West of France, decorate this pretty island.
