The farmer released without any measure of judicial constraint
This Monday, November 11, Cécile Gensac, in a press release, specifies that the farmer was released in the morning, without any measure of legal constraint. If he was, initially, the subject of an investigation for violence with a weapon leading to serious injuries, the Nîmes prosecutor specifies that he will ultimately retain “the conditions of self-defense as provided for by the Penal Code”. A decision which follows up on “first investigations carried out quickly in order to determine the exact course of events through the hearings of victims, witnesses, and the accused, but also several technical investigations”.
The investigation continues to identify possible other people involved
For his part, the burglar, still hospitalized, could not be heard. According to our information, he was transferred to hospital services in Marseille. According to Cécile Gensac, the 51-year-old man is already known to the justice services for drug offenses, theft and road traffic offenses. He is accused of attempted aggravated robbery. “Investigations will continue into the facts and the charge of attempted robbery with a weapon and by an organized gang, with a view to questioning the man arrested and identifying any other person involved”also indicates the prosecutor.
