As part of the celebration of their joint anniversaries, DyTAES, CIRAD, ISRA and IRD present the exhibition-event “YAAY DUND – Regenerating the living”. Presented for the Dak’Art 2024 contemporary art biennial, the exhibition will be held at the foot of the African Renaissance Monument from November 13 to December 7, 2024.
The works of Raphael Belmin, agronomist and photographer at CIRAD, take us to the heart of Senegal’s food systems. His photographs reveal each key stage, from production to consumption, including processing and distribution. They capture the diversity of roles essential to this living chain, particularly those played by women.
The exhibition venue has an agora space which will host a rich program throughout the exhibition period. The meetings will bring together scientific, artistic and activist voices in order to bring to life debates around the agroecological transition and gender equality.
CIRAD will co-organize with ISRA and IRD “Joint Research Anniversary Days” to mark the contributions and significant advances of their respective institutions in the field of research over several decades in Senegal.
