Kirpy doesn't let any stone stand in the way of his growth

If it is an innovation which is at the genesis of Kirpy, it is the permanent innovation which has guaranteed its existence until today, and has sometimes made it essential. At the Liberation and at the beginning of the 1950s, society experienced meteoric growth, with the accelerated mechanization of agriculture. Partner of the English company Massey Ferguson, it will have up to 250 employees.

From agriculture to public works

Slowed down by the development of pesticides, the company's activity rebounded at the end of the 1960s. “After having reached an important milestone in the 1970s, by investing in the stone removal market and revolutionizing it”, explains Cédric de Bourayne, general manager, who supports Antoine Lenoir, its CEO.

The company was established over 120 years ago.

A technical revolution signed by Kirpy, which has recently been accompanied by an internal industrial revolution: at the heart of its 8,000 m² workshops, the Layracaise company now has a production robot which required 800,000 euros of investment (co-financed by the Region), which guarantees its competitiveness.

With 40 employees, it generates 35% of its annual turnover (around 4.3 million euros) from exports, half of which is outside Europe, in the USA, China or Africa.

In addition to agricultural activity, Kirpy can also count on its ability to attract public works stakeholders to continue to develop. Its stone crushers have been adopted by major players in the sector, such as Vinci, Eurovia and Bouygues.
