The Animal Protection Society (SPA) of (Hauts-de-Seine) has had a new shelter since October 25. The structure left the old Grammont site which it had occupied since 1903. 80 dogs and 120 cats were transferred from the old shelter to the new one, 1.5 km away, on foot. 80 employees and volunteers of the association were mobilized for three days for this operation. In this new shelter, the cattery can accommodate 195 cats. In the other spaces, 120 dogs and around twenty rodents can take place. To allow animals to stretch their legs a little, there are around ten relaxation parks, similar to small gardens, depending on France Blue Paris. “Everything is done to ensure that the animals are as stress-free as possible”explains Guillaume Sanchez, general director of the association.

Thanks to this new reception system, the SPA wishes to carry out between 50 to 70 adoptions per weekend. The inauguration has not yet taken place but the teams have already been occupying the new shelter for two weeks. Even if there are still some adjustments to be made, the public can come and adopt a pet since Thursday, November 7.
