Sauzet. Claudine Duthil has passed away

On this Wednesday morning in November, the sky was azure and the sun golden, nature serene. Suddenly, the telephone rang and it was like a clap of thunder that reverberated throughout the village of Sauzet. The bad news transmitted by this device announced the death of Claudine Duthil, the friend among others of the walking group in Sauzet.

During her professional life, she traveled the roads of the canton by car. Once retired, this nature lover was able to indulge in her passion, walking, several times a week on the paths and trails of the surrounding area and even beyond. When the group of Sauzet walkers was formed, she was one of the first to carry it to the baptismal font. Quite naturally, her extensive experience in the field and her knowledge of hiking trails meant that she became “the road captain”, to suggest hiking itineraries and guide participants. His natural kindness enlivened the outings with real moments of conviviality and his experience allowed us to enrich the knowledge of the walkers.

So, today, her friends feel helpless in the face of her sudden disappearance but there is no doubt that she will always be there to advise them and prevent them from going astray down some unknown path. The group of Sauzet walkers presents their most sincere condolences to Bernard, Claudie's husband, and to the entire family. La Dépêche is joining in.
