The new appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchiconcern 12 positions of responsibility. Among these, eight police district chiefs were designated in the cities of Oujda, Laâyoune, Sidi Yahya and Marrakech. In addition, a head of the traffic accident department at the Salé regional security and a head of the urban brigade in Youssoufia were also appointed.
These changes also include the appointment of police officers to head other decentralized national security services. This includes the appointment of a general intelligence brigade head at the Casablanca police headquarters as well as an interim head of the Zagora airport police station.
Furthermore, Abdellatif Hammouchi had recently validated the appointment of nine new managers within decentralized public security services in several cities, including Fez, Agadir, Imouzzer Kandar, Mehdia, Dakhla and Demnate.
The DGSN stressed that these appointments were made by favoring profiles from the new generation of security managers, characterized by a high degree of professionalism, integrity and experience. “These qualities are essential to ensure optimal implementation of the new security strategy, focused on strengthening citizens’ feeling of security, improving police services, consolidating institutional communication and opening police services. on their environment”, indicates the DGSN. And to add that this dynamic is part of an internal approach aimed at injecting new life and mobilizing young and experienced security skills, capable of contributing effectively to guaranteeing the security of citizens and protecting their property.
