After eight months of closure, the famous toy store in Pacy-sur-Eure (Eure) has finally reopened its doors under the leadership of two sisters, Audrey and Aurore Gasq. Formerly led by Jean-Yves Courtoisthis emblematic establishment, in operation since 1970, has managed to preserve its heritage while modernizing to meet current standards. The two sisters undertook major work to breathe new life into this small store, renamed La Cabane.

The name is “a nod to the play of children who build cabins outside, thus evoking imagination and adventure,” smiles Aurore, the store manager.

Although not experts in the world of toys, Aurore and Audrey quickly became passionate about their project. A vast selection, ranging from trendy toys to must-haves that have spanned generations, is offered to little customers.

Families welcome

We highlight board games, puzzles as well as a large modeling section, where many models are offered. A corner dedicated to playing cards like Stitch, Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Lorcana, allows teenagers to immerse themselves in the world of strategy games.

Even small games, for less than €12, are offered, “quick games, lasting around fifteen minutes, are particularly sought after by today's families”. Like KikaFéa game of speed and memory nominated for the Ace d'Or.

In addition to making little ones happy, Aurore plays an advisory role to families in the choice of games, particularly when it comes to board games. A room is set up on the upper floor of the store. Some Saturdays, a facilitator will be present to introduce you to new board games. With this renewal, La Cabane has established itself as an essential place for families looking for originality and wise advice. On your Christmas lists!
