Lot: in the middle of the workday, he fell several meters into a dumpster

The man, aged 35, was carrying out his usual tasks
when he fell into the void. He then fell several meters to land in a completely empty garbage dumpster, explained The Dispatch. Emergency services were quickly alerted to help the victim.

The thirty-year-old was found trapped, in a delicate positionin the dumpster, suffering from back and intercostal pain. In order to help him, emergency services had to call on a specialized team from the Perilous Environment Intervention Group (Grimp). It was therefore equipped with suitable equipment that the firefighters were able to carry out
the difficult extraction of the man. The goal is to avoid aggravating your injuries as much as possible.

An impressive mobilization of local emergency services

The mayor of Catus went to the scene, accompanied by the gendarmes, to follow the operations closely. The emergency system included nearly fifteen firefightersall mobilized to extract the man from his delicate position. Thanks to their expertise, they were able to stabilize the victim before
transport her to the Cahors hospital center.

There, doctors took care of his injuries, particularly the traumatic pain in his back and ribs, a consequence of his sudden fall which was not cushioned by the presence of waste. In his misfortune, the man did not fall into a dumpster equipped with a garbage disposal device, which would have led to another purpose. It is estimated that on average, every day, 90 people are victims of a work accident which leaves them with lifelong consequences.
