A journey to meet its roots
Mila is a passionate young student, eager to know the traditional values and customs of Mayotte, about which her mother, Samawya, spoke to her so much. However, Samawya's past is tinged with secrets, particularly around the figure of her father, a polygamous man, of whom Mila only has a distant memory, during a single visit when she was thirteen.
A personal and academic challenge
While she goes to Mayotte for a university project, Mila sees this trip as a chance to immerse herself in Mahorese culture, but also as a challenge. Beyond research for her studies, this stay will lead her on a personal quest and invite her to reconsider the family values that bind her to Mayotte.
