With Lionel Brenier, ancient grape varieties have never been so relevant.
Until he was 33, Lionel worked in mass distribution, for a company where he processed frozen fruit to make fruit salads. Lionel has only kept one fruit in his life today: the grape, the one with which he makes his wine. He returned to school to train, and with his wife who is also a winemaker, they decided to take over an old vineyard which had disappeared. Today their estate is 4 hectares and it is growing year after year. Every time they find an old grape variety, they plant it again. What matters for Lionel is to work in tandem with nature, in particular by following the lunar calendar.
