Seniors, get your CVs on! Montélimar Agglomeration (Drome) innovates in its recruitment strategy with the operation “A job in the canteen to put butter in the spinach”. This recruitment campaign is aimed at seniors and aims to offer them additional income as well as an intergenerational activity, weaving social bonds.
Different missions depending on needs
This paid activity addresses over 60 years old and is carried out on meridian time. The contract runs until the end of the 2024-2025 school year (July 4, 2025).
Depending on the needs in the various school canteens in the area, the missions seniors will be as follows:
- Supervise and lead fun and educational activities for children during the lunch break;
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children;
- Collaborate with the teaching team to offer varied activities and
enriching.
Schools, vectors of social bond
Among the main qualities sought in candidates are good relationships with children, dynamism and a sense of responsibility.
This campaign materializes the ambition displayed by Julien Cornillet, president
of Montélimar Agglomération, to make schools places open to the outside world,
vectors of social ties and intergenerational meetings.
A desire already materialized by the provision of free access to sports equipment in Montilian schoolyards during the holidays and on Wednesdays and weekends during the school term.
