Athletics. The French Ekiden record is from

The 2024-2025 winter season is off to a great start for -Athlétisme.

After excellent results, obtained eight days ago, at the French 5 km road championships in Saint-Omer, the Quimper masters won, in Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine), the title of champion of Bretagne de l'Ekiden, a marathon divided into 3×5 km, a 10 km and 7.195 km to be completed in relay by team of six runners.

New French distance record

Sunday November 3, 2024, Cédric Leborgne, Benjamin Le Grand, Éric Lannuzel, Mathieu Diverrès, Ronan Taniou and Marc Souben covered the legendary distance in 2 hours 15 minutes and 30 seconds. This is the new French master record for the distance.

Sébastien Nédélec breaks the screen

Another rider from the club stands out at the start of the season: Sébastien Nédélec.

Sunday, on the 10 km of Taulé-Morlaix, the senior 1re year ranked 2e of the race in 28'54.

“Trained by his father Jean-Pierre, he is on the way to becoming the best middle-distance runner in South Finistère,” assures Pierre L'Haridon, member of the QA office.
