On the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the armistice of November 11, 1918, the association “Les Chemins de la liberté, beyond the wound” is mobilizing for the Bleuet de France.
Since 2022, they have been getting on their bikes to participate in solidarity initiatives and recently again for the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, on the “Freedom Route” from Utah Beach (Normandy) to Bastogne (Belgium), an epic of 1,300 km to highlight the importance of sport in the reconstruction of physically and/or psychologically injured soldiers.
A new challenge : Paris > Verdun
For the 106th anniversary of the armistice of November 11, they set out to support the Bleuet de France.
November 9 and 10 for 310 km, from Fort d'Ivry, through Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France and the Grand-Est region to reach the Douaumont ossuary, less by bike of 30 hours and in complete autonomy.
26 athletes
For this new challenge, the association brings together agents from the Ministry of the Armed Forces (civilian or military) and in particular injured people as well as civilian personnel who are fans of ultra bike racing.
A recognized action
This initiative is supported by Bleuet de France as an action providing concrete support to the injured.
