After the announcement of the closure of the Michelin factories in and , Tuesday November 5, Marc Ferracci, Minister Delegate for Industryis expected this Friday, November 8 at the Cholet site (Maine-et-Loire).

“The minister wishes to be with the employees of the factory and local elected officials in order to confirm the commitments obtained with the Prime Minister on the part of Michelin and to ensure good conditions for their implementation” announces the ministry.

Meeting with the unions

The minister will go in the morning to the sub-prefecture of Cholet then to the factory in the early afternoon. A steering meeting with management, trade union organizations, elected officials, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Travail and Medef is scheduled.

After meeting the unions, Marc Ferracci will meet the employees on site. Employees who are strike since the announcement of the closure of the Cholet factory.

“The Government's objective is to find a solution for each employee, while allowing territorial revitalization in order to ultimately create more jobs than those which will be eliminated,” concludes the ministry.
