Rémi Lespinasse, resident of Loupiac, in Gironde, fell into the world of tires by chance more than 17 years ago. Today he launches his repair company and tire change at home for individuals and professionals: RL Pneus Services.

With this company and his equipped truck, he can troubleshoot everywhere across the Gironde and even a little beyond (50 km around).

17 years of tire changing service

“Those who don't know will say that it's 'just tires', but I love this jobbecause it is varied and pleasant. » This is how Rémi Lespinasse begins to present his professional activity, which he carries out in his clients' homes behind the wheel of his truckSince July 2024.

If they are independence is new, it's an activity that he masters like the back of his hand since he started it at the age of 18 ansin Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a little by chance.

“I was looking for a job, I didn’t really know what to do. I came across an ad for tire repair. And then I learned on the job. »

Agricultural machinery and heavy goods vehicles

At first, he learned to change tires on passenger cars and utility vehicles. Then gradually, he moved to Gironde and broadened his range of technicians. He then learned to change the tires of heavy goods vehicles and agricultural machinery.

After more than 17 years as an employee, the Loupiacais took the plunge in June 2024 and decided to start his own business. If it's a “slightly blind” jump, the project doesn't come out of nowhere: “This idea has been in my head for a while,” he explains.

A month and a half to start your business

If the idea has been there for a while, the execution is very fast.

In a month and a half, I submitted my resignation letter, bought a truck, started my business and started working for myself.

A radical change which does great good for the professional afterwards 7 ans spent in a company in which he lacks the prospect of advancement.

“There, I also had a truck and I helped customers at home. But the difference is that today I am my own boss. I organize myself the way I want, I can take my children to school every morning and I feel a lot less stress. It’s a pleasure to work alone,” he announces, enthusiastically.

Home intervention to make life easier for clients

His new business is designed so that the customer save time and be satisfied: “I chose to do domicilebecause it saves customers from making an appointment at a garage, going there, waiting there, then making the return trip. People can continue to to work while I change their tires,” explains Rémi Lespinasse.

When I work, I put myself in the customer's place. So I try to get quotes as quickly as possible. I offer a wide range of tires for sale, and I assemble and repair.

In his truck, Rémi Lespinasse has everything he needs to intervene directly at the location requested by the customer: “I can intervene at home, in the vineyards, on the road, anywhere. »

For tourist and utility type cars, it uses a machine which he transports and for the wheels of heavy goods vehicles and agricultural vehicles, he works by hand.

“Changing a tire is easy, it’s a bit of a hassle. It's everything else around that you need to pay attention to: properly bracing the vehicle, etc. », Explains the professional.

Fast repairs and orders

To change a tractor tire, it takes on average half an hour to Rémi Lespinasse. To change two car tires, you have to count 20 minutes. To this must be added a time of tire order “Quite quickly, it could be within a day,” he specifies.

For agricultural machinery, he always keeps a stock of inner tubes in his truck to carry out further repairs faster for professionals.

If the RL Pneus Services adventure is just beginning, its manager strongly believes in his project and sees even further.

My objective would be to manage company car parks to manage their tires: such as La Poste, ambulances or wine châteaux.

This would allow him to have regular interventions. Additionally, he is looking for a storage room in order to respond even better to demand.
