After the victory of Donald Trump, the rebels point the finger at the Democratic political line, “liberal and without social ruptures”.

The American presidential election will not have eclipsed French politics for long, especially on the left. A little after 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, while Donald Trump's victory has just been confirmed, the coordinator of La insoumise, Manuel Bompard, opens the dance in a message on X: “We cannot mobilize the people on a neoliberal line and without social and geopolitical ruptures”writes the MP, in a tweet detailing the reasons for Kamala Harris' failure against Donald Trump. Several similar messages followed from deputies of the rebellious group on the social network. “We do not fight against fascism with a “left” which offers no alternative to warlike, racist and antisocial policies”writes Raphaël Arnault (LFI). “Those in France who want to restore social democracy are in reality preparing the arrival of the extreme right to power”adds Thomas Portes. For his part, Antoine Léaument directly targets Raphaël Glucksmann (Place publique) by responding to one of his messages on the social network. “How can you be so off base not to see that it is the political line that you support in Europe and in France that led, in the USA, to the defeat against Trump?” comments the Ess MP
