“The hackers demanded a ransom”: the Lot-et-Garonnaise association La Sauvegarde victim of a cyberattack

the essential
Hard hit this weekend, the training and reintegration organization is trying as best it can to carry out its missions.

The least we can say is that the Safeguarding employees had a lousy Monday and a very busy week! Last weekend, the computer network of the training and reintegration organization was the victim of a particularly violent digital attack. “These people demanded a ransom. Obviously, we did not contact them otherwise we gave them access to our entire system,” assures Nadine Boissié, the president of Safeguarding.

Employees work day and night

Since then, the association and its 400 employees have tried as best they can to meet expectations. With courage and self-sacrifice. “We no longer have access to the internet, to our data, our files. It is extremely complicated to work but I must honor people who struggle and who sometimes work day and night,” insists the president.

“The best technicians in are currently trying to resolve the problem. We hope for a return to normal as soon as possible,” continues Nadine Boissié.

Deprived of their work tools, employees still manage to provide information and answer questions. “You know, we don't expect something like this to happen to us. But we had no choice but to adapt. »

The various interlocutors, very numerous in the territory, were warned that a cyber attacker could pose as a member of the Safeguard and thus contaminate other structures.
During the next few days, you should therefore avoid opening an email or message from the Lot-et-Garonnaise structure.
