The public prosecutor of Ille-et-Vilaine announced the opening of a judicial investigation into this case.

The public prosecutor of Ille-et-Vilaine announced Thursday, November 7 that the vital prognosis of the 5-year-old child seriously injured by bullets in Pacé at the end of October was no longer in jeopardy. “His sedation was very gradually reduced. He was able to be extubated and his vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy”specifies the prosecution, which adds that the victim “will, however, very likely present neurological after-effects and permanent disability is considered by the medical examiner”.
The prosecutor announced the opening of a judicial investigation by the prosecutor's office of the JIRS (specialized interregional jurisdiction) of Rennes, for “attempted assassination and criminal association with a view to committing a crime” in Rennes, Pacé and Vézin- le-Coquet. Its aim is “to identify and arrest the occupants of the vehicle which chased the victim's vehicle and from which the shots were fired, as well as their accomplices or co-perpetrators”. The investigation, entrusted to the investigating judge, is also always entrusted in co-responsibility to the specialized services of the police and the national gendarmerie.
On October 26, a 5-year-old child was seriously injured by gunfire in Pacé, near Rennes. The victim was hit in the head “by two projectiles” during a chase against a backdrop of drug trafficking. The father, for his part, escaped the chase unharmed. Forensic investigations confirmed two gunshot wounds to the skull.
