In Marcoussis, the traditional federal office will soon be replaced by a “strategic office”, responsible for validating the major directions that French Rugby will take over the next four years. Here is the composition.
Comfortably re-elected on October 19 at the head of the French Rugby Federation, Florian Grill (60 years old) immediately wanted to replace the traditional “federal office” which until now managed the daily life of the flagship of French rugby with a “strategic office “. This is made up of fifteen members: thirteen are elected by the Political Orientation Committee of the federation while the other two are representatives of high-level athletes. If the latter have not yet been appointed, the skeleton of the “strategic office”, which will decide on the directions of French rugby for the next four years, has, according to our information, recently been validated by federal leaders.
Lhermet, Benazzi, Roux, Hélias…
It will therefore be made up largely of Florian Grill's close guard in Marcoussis and, within the office, we will therefore find personalities such as Abdelatif Benazzi, candidate for the presidency of World Rugby, Sylvain Deroeux, the secretary general of the FFR, Jordan Roux, the vice-president in charge of territoriality and the youth sector, Claude Hélias, the deputy treasurer, Ariane Van Ghelue, vice-president in charge of, Xabi Etcheverry, the boss of amateur rugby in France, or again Jean-Marc Lhermet, the vice-president in charge of high level. Personalities such as Olivier Pouligny, the vice-president in charge of relations with the LNR, and Nathalie Janvier, former head of the French women's XV, have for their part been designated as “guest members” of the office.
