The two men who left the body of the boar in front of this mosque in Côte-d'Or have been identified

The perpetrators of the Islamophobic act in Saint-Usage (Côte-d'Or) have been identified. The two men had intentionally left a boar corpse in front of the village's Franco-Turkish cultural association. They admitted to having hit the animal by accident before abandoning it in front of the building.

Olivier Caracotch, the public prosecutor of declared this Thursday, November 7 that two men aged 19 and 25 admitted to having accidentally hit the boar. They then “got the idea” to deposit the remains in front of the association building. The two individuals are unknown to the justice system. One of them lives in the department and the other lives in a neighboring department.

They were taken into custody, then brought back on November 6. The prosecution informs that they will not be prosecuted for discriminatory public insult. On the other hand, they must comply with several directives. They are banned from appearing in the town for six months. They are also responsible for paying 600 euros each in citizen contributions. Finally, the two men must complete a racial hatred awareness course on their own.
