The Saint-Gaultier Tennis Club tournament closed on Sunday November 3, 2024 with the presence of around thirty people who came to watch the finals. The 2025 vintage was excellent with 81 registered, an increase of 12.5% in participants. For the first time in the history of the tournament, two qualifying pools of unclassified players at 30/4 could be organized, allowing players to play up to four matches.
Lou Cailleaux Dabadie superstar
Two players particularly stood out. Among the men, Thomas Bergougnan (40, US La Châtre) won six victories including three performances at 30/4, 30/5 and 30/2.
Among the women, Lou Cailleaux Dabadie (30/1, TC Val de Creuse) spent six rounds achieving four performances (at 30, 15/5 and 15/3) to lose in the semi-final against the winner of the tournament. She also won the final 4e series, registering a seventh victory to his record. Finally, she also stood out by sharing with Émie Bely (15/5, Diors) the prize for the most fair play match. “Well done ladies, you have put women’s tennis in the spotlight,” commented President Antony Pinsard.

Gentlemen 2e series. Arthur Cvitanovic (4/6, CTC 36) beats Raphaël Chabrol (4/6, TC Val de Creuse), 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.
Gentlemen 4e series. Charles Chevalier (30/1, Levroux) beats Éric Lamouroux (30/1, Le Poinçonnet), 7-5, 6-2.
Consoling gentlemen. Simon Mery (15/5, Saint-Gaultier) beats Alexis Begat (30, TC Val de Creuse), 7-6, 6-7, 7-6.
