The Auchan brand will disappear from Nièvre in 2025

The Auchan name will disappear from the Nivernais commercial landscape in March 2025.
The three hypermarkets of Cosne-sur-Loire, La Charité-sur-Loire and Clamecy, franchisees of the Avallon-based Schiever group, will become Hyper U or Super U in the spring, following the group's merger with Coopérative U (formerly Système U ).

27 years of collaboration with Auchan

This merger, announced by our colleagues at Republican Yonne last March, puts an end to 27 years of collaboration with Auchan. “There will be no impact on the staff” of the Nièvre stores, we reassure the Schiever group, contacted on Wednesday November 6.

In addition to the transfer of Auchan stores under a new brand, the agreement provides for the construction of a new logistics warehouse in Avallon, reinforcing the strategic position that the group intends to give to the Icaunaise city.
