The morning begins under mixed skies over the regions from Saint Denis to Saint Joseph with showers appearing at times under a very cloudy sky.
From the end of the morning, clearings still return to the corresponding coastline, with the exception of the eastern foothills of the Volcano. Elsewhere, beautiful sunny periods are observed from daybreak.
The diurnal development gradually sets in, giving marked cloud cover in the highs for the afternoon. Showers occur mainly on the heights of the West, the North-West and to a lesser extent the heights of the East and the South. The coastal regions retain clearings, with windy areas benefiting from the best weather, particularly in the Saint Pierre or Saint Joseph sectors.
The East-South-East wind blows quite strongly with gusts of 65 to 75 km/h on Saint Pierre and Saint Joseph, 50 to 60 km/h on Sainte Marie and the capital. It takes a north-eastern component in Possession Bay and breezes predominate on the western beaches.
The sea is rough, not very rough in Saint Paul and Saint Gilles, but becomes rough offshore during the day in the South. The South-East trade wind swell is close to 2 meters.
