The Beauregard farm is organizing its traditional Advent market this Sunday, November 10.
Nestled between Redessan and Bezouce but in the town of Marguerittes, the Beauregard Farm does things well and inevitably does things well, even very well. If you still doubt it, this Sunday, November 10, it is organizing its open day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The visit to the farm takes place from 10 a.m. to noon then from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
And this moment of rural visit is accompanied by a gourmet moment if you wish. In fact, the Beauregard Farmwhich raises pigs and poultry outdoors, invites you to its Advent market. It is the Verrecchia family who runs the farm. This family business offers know-how, dynamism, and passion which ensure breeding. In addition, here, the processing and marketing of products is done without any intermediary, directly with the farm!
On the market? The charcuterie of the venerable house, obviously, but also saffron, honey, olive oil, wines, creative jams, fruit juices, vegetables, cheeses, special breads, pastries, snails, Cévennes products, Champagne, beers, jewelry from the soap factory and, to end on a sweet note, chocolate!
It must be said that in Beauregard visitors have the choice of kings. The dry-cured ham has just won an award at the Paris General Agricultural Competition, and the pure pork dry sausage, this same dry-cured ham and another sausage have won a gold or silver medal in the Taste Militant competition. Ferme Beauregard is recommended by the Gault & Millau guide, by Petit Fûté. She is a member of the Gard aux chefs association and supplies some beautiful and large restaurants in the region.
Butchers for three generations, the Verrecchias enjoy working with local meat. In addition to working with that from its pig and poultry farms, it offers its customers beef, lamb and veal from a local organic farm.
Indeed, their work resembles that of the Verrecchias and, as a breeder and producer, that is to say, the short circuit often offers the best products. In Beauregard, the charcuterie is artisanal, it is even called “charcuterie des Costières” and gourmets will have quite a choice. Pâtés, sausages, hams, quails, andouillettes, sausages (…) with several packaging options, cut, vacuum-packed, in jars… made by hand, without coloring or additives or sugars, on site on the farm in the approved laboratory, you will not be disappointed!
Little tip, for the end-of-year holidays, you can buy your poultry raised outdoors! Capon, guinea fowl, hen, rooster and chicken can be chosen at the farm, in the markets, online (Christmas poultry). As you can see, the farm is also represented on the markets, notably that of Jean-Jaurès in Nîmes or of course that of Marguerittes.
But let's return to the Sunday of Advent… Catering can be done on site by local teams and protected from bad weather in a heated place if necessary.
The meal is 29 euros per person and includes a plate of Costières charcuterie from the Beauregard farm of course, sautéed pork with porcini mushrooms with gratin dauphinois, cheese, dessert and cafétou (reservation recommended). Musical entertainment will enhance the moment.
