Recognition of the profession of family assistant as a social worker would make it possible to “ legitimize their role and strengthen their position within the child protection system “. The bill also aims to allow the verification of the criminal record of each adult in the household. “ If all adults in the household have a clean criminal record, this would serve as a positive role model, helping children develop values ​​such as respect, integrity and responsibility. », details the text.

This law supported by the Haut-Savoyard MP would also make it possible to establish a periodic control, every five years, by the Maternal and Child Protection (PMI) on family assistants and adults in the household, to “ keep children safe ». Pour « provide financial protection » of the child, the bill provides for prohibiting parents who still have parental authority from carrying out transactions on their bank account.
