The 2023 Creuse Business Trophies distinguished six winners in five categories plus a Public Favorite, who all shared that evening the immense pride of seeing their work, their commitment and their initiatives recognized. Before the next Creuse Business Trophies 2024, Tuesday November 12, we asked them what this experience, beyond the simple distinction, had brought them.
They shine SARL Joël Richard. Specializing in the manufacture of shingles and chestnut posts in Benevento, the company won the “They shine” category last year.
A trophy which “shed a little light on our activity because even after almost 70 years of existence, there are still people who did not know what we were doing”, underlines Joël Richard who will be present at these 2024 Trophies, this time, on the public side.@Floris Bressy
“What’s funny is that we know people who are nominated this year. So it’s always interesting! », adds the business manager who also explains that “the evening is an opportunity for very interesting exchanges with the entire ecosystem of a company”.
They launch Mas du Clos circuit. The legendary Mas du Clos racing circuit, put back on track by the grandson of its founder, won the public vote.
“It was very rewarding, it was a great experience and it also demonstrates the support of the people of Creusois for the activity of the circuit”, explains Alexandre Bardinon for whom this evening of the Business Trophies was also an opportunity to meet other local actors and “to discover new professions that I did not necessarily know or that I did not suppose to find in Creuse”.@ Bruno Barlier
“I will be delighted to come back to the public this year, take a little tour to see what the next nominated companies will be” and why not, discover others, he adds.
They commit Naudon Mathé. For this family carpentry company, winning this trophy, “it was a bit of the culmination of something”, explains Mathieu Naudon, who took over the company in 2020 by launching major projects in terms of development and improvement of the manufacturing process and working conditions.

A personal pride but also of “the company in general”. “It helped to get people talking about us, to put the company in the spotlight, that's for sure, even if in terms of economic impact, I don't have precise figures, it's always rewarding in terms of corporate image,” he adds, not dissatisfied with this communication stunt from which he invites other companies to take advantage.
They innovate ATL Production. If winning a Creuse Business Trophy has not boosted the market of ATL Production (Aubusson) which has no customers in Creuse, to the great regret of its president, Philippe de Courtilles, it does however make him proud and that of its employees.
“It’s very rewarding! I was very proud, and everyone is very proud in the company, it also serves as our internal communication and that is very important,” he emphasizes. This also made it possible to “become known a little in Creuse, because it is not necessarily very satisfactory to be established here and to have no commercial activity”, adds Philippe de Courtilles who installed the trophy in his office.
Apart from the manufacture of ergonomic beds to facilitate the work of hotel staff, ATL is in the process of launching tools to facilitate the work of shelving in supermarkets and is expecting its first order this week!

They train, they recruit
Dalaudière Automation. The Creuse company has distinguished itself by the creation of a training framework around its boliste know-how. The Trophies, “above all, gave us local visibility because we operate in an industrial world, so obviously, it’s an environment that’s not very open to the public,” explains Roland Desgranges, director of the Mérinchal site.
Winning this trophy “definitely feels good”. Being part of the evening “also allows you to create a bond,” he adds. “Seeing colleagues and why not one day forging links, as we already do with metallurgy for example, working with colleagues, that's what's interesting, particularly at the local level because sometimes we say to ourselves that we go looking far for the skills we have here. So yes, it's always interesting. »
Public favorite
Lou Creuse. The family cutlery business won the Public's Favorite last year. The opportunity, for this Creuse name “well known for 20 years”, to (re) come into the light. “It highlighted our brand and our history,” rejoices Blaise Grangette who adds, regarding the Trophies evening: “It was worth experiencing.”
Winning the Public's Favorite, “we took it as a big thank you from our department and our Creuse community who believe in our adventure. It’s really a very nice event and a very good memory,” adds the young cutler. From this evening a partnership was even born with Gaultier Malige, manager of Serrubat, A2C, Menuiseries Tomas and Ioner France, then nominated in the “They are launching” category. “We said to ourselves that it would be good for us to work together and so, a year later, to the day, we launched this partnership: for every Ioner France product purchased, there is a free Lou Creuse! “.
Prize or no prize at the end of the evening, the Business Trophies, “it’s really an event”, underlines Blaise Grangette, a “beautiful advertisement” and “above all, meetings with entrepreneurs who have the same mentality and the same state of mind as you. It's just a bonus! “.
