Barely disembarked, immediately arrested. Monday November 4, 2024, a woman from Le Havre (Seine-Maritime) was arrested at Orly airport. She is suspected of having done transit cocaine between Guyana and France.
1.2 kilos of cocaine
Since October, the Le Havre narcotics brigade has been investigating this potential “mule” [des passeurs qui transportent dans leurs bagages ou dans leurs corps de la drogue, NDLR].
Thanks to information, they manage to identify the latter: a 30-year-old woman, originally from the Océane city. On November 4, she was arrested at Orly airport.
The police, helped by their Parisian counterparts, also identified the home of a man in Servon (Seine-et-Marne). On site, they discovered 1.2 kilos of cocaine and 12,600 euros in cash.
Waiting for trial
The man, aged 34, as well as Le Havraise, unknown to the police, were immediately placed in police custody. On November 6, they were referred (in other words presented to the public prosecutor) as part of an immediate appearance.
The trial was postponed until December 26. In the meantime, the mule has been placed under judicial control and the man remains in pre-trial detention
