A new headquarters in for Secours populaire in Seine-Saint-Denis

The Popular aid of Seine-Saint-Denis recently inaugurated its new departmental headquarters at 63-65 rue Marcel Dassault, in Bondyduring a ceremony which brought together donors, institutional partners and volunteers. This symbolic event marks an important step for the association, which thus strengthens its presence in the region to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.

A crossroads for volunteers and coordination of actions

This new headquarters in becomes a real crossroads for the volunteers and will make it possible to coordinate the essential actions of the associationnotably food aid, access to careculture, leisure and sports, as well as support for digitalboth locally and internationally. “This establishment provides an essential response to the increasing needs of people receiving assistance in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis and marks a key step in intensifying the fight against poverty.“, affirmed the Secours populaire de Seine-Saint-Denis.

On the occasion of this inauguration, the Secours populaire departmental committee of Seine-Saint-Denis also elected a new general secretary, Vincent Blazquez-Pachonformer treasurer of the federation. He succeeds Philippe Portmanwho left office after five years of commitment to serving the most vulnerable.

Vincent Blazquez-Pachon wants to strengthen actions

Drawing on his experience within the association, Vincent Blazquez-Pachon reaffirmed his commitment to intensify the federation's efforts and strengthen actionshighlighting the challenges posed by the current economic situation. “More than ever, the increase in precariousness in our department, but also the emergencies in and around the world, oblige us. Volunteer friends from our 27 committees mobilize daily“, he said.

The opening of this new structure represents an essential step in the development of Secours populaire in Seine-Saint-Denis. Under the leadership of Vincent Blazquez-Pachon, the association intends to continue its efforts to build “a more united society, where everyone has the right to dignity“, recalling the motto of Secours populaire: “Everything human is ours“. By strengthening its presence in the territory, Secours populaire is giving itself the means to intensify its fight against poverty and remain a key player in solidarity in Seine-Saint-Denis.
