Nadège Abomangoli, LFI deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis and vice-president of the National Assembly, is the guest of franceinfo, Wednesday November 6. She reacts to the election of Donald Trump in the United States.
“The election of Donald Trump is a vote of adhesion”notes Nadège Abomangoli, LFI deputy for Seine-Saint-Denis, vice-president of the National Assembly, guest of franceinfo, Wednesday November 6. “As racist, misogynist, obscurantist as he is (…) all this was received five out of five by his voters. The conclusion is that the barrier vote is not enough to embody an alternative”she elaborates.
“It is a defeat for the Democrats, because by dint of being in the position of the barrier, what she could carry was not even valued, her project was not perceived”estimates Nadège Abomangoli. “We have the impression that the first idea was to seduce a moderate Republican electorate. However, I think that in politics, you have to say things, you have to state them clearly“, explains the LFI MP. “Kamala Harris tried to compromise (…) you have to stand by your ideas, your convictions and it is possible to have progressive majorities”she concludes.
