Salins-les-Bains. The streets transformed into a theatrical playground | Weekly 39

The theater section of Lycée Considerant enjoyed an intense artistic experience just before the fall vacation, transforming downtown Salins into a theatrical playground. In partnership with the Pudding Theater Company, this day of cohesion made the ancient stones of the spa town vibrate.

The morning began with the sign of discovery. Christophe Chatelain, Isabelle Guyot, Céline Chatelain and Camille Douls, artists from the company, guided the high school students to three unusual places: a vaulted cellar, an old distillery and a garage. In these spaces, students discovered unique artistic proposals, from the adaptation of Steinbeck's “Grapes of Wrath” to a post-apocalyptic radio fiction, including stories mixing theater and geopolitics.

In the afternoon, the high school students, divided into four groups mixing all levels, took over different sites in the city center. Their creations oscillate between dramatic evacuation, urban legend around the Furieuse, police investigation and choral biography. This urban experiment revealed the boundless creativity of the students, driven by great collective commitment.

The day concluded in the Althaïr association room, where students, artists and teachers shared their emotions. Beyond the educational and artistic objectives achieved, this experience cultivated essential skills of cooperation and responsibility. A creative seed which, according to the organizers, will continue to germinate throughout the school year.
