the essential
The comedian presented his new show at the Georges-Leygues theater on Tuesday evening, in front of 800 enthusiastic spectators.
A microphone stand, a stool and a block as a table, scattered across the stage of the Georges-Leygues theater, the decor is minimalist. No need for stage effects for his new solo on stage, Panayotis Pascot uses what made his last appearance in the Villeneuvois theater a success: a micro-wire, with which he plays to support, and his text. Chiseled, already well established for the 3rd performance of this new show.
No time to waste, the young 26-year-old comedian enters the stage and uses no preliminaries to approach the theme of his new creation. He intends to explore a “between the two”. For the artist, it is this vast space-time between childhood and… death. Depression, his family with its particular genealogy, his childhood, the anxiety of becoming an adult, Panayotis Pascot brilliantly manages to lead the 800 spectators, gathered in the Georges-Leygues theater, into a confusing universe.
He also addresses the question of fatherhood, which is beginning to affect him, the young gay man. Lighter themes will also punctuate the show, such as the hilarious passage of his arrival in Paris, concomitant with that of his cat – particular – in his life and his trip to India, then a teenager, which does not lack… spice. In the Villeneuvois room, many young people who recognize themselves in this “in between”, a period of doubt for many. But above all it is a whirlwind of laughter, between two breaths.
