In the town of Laragne-Montgélin, this Tuesday, around 8 p.m., the Hautes-Alpes firefighters intervened for a collision between a train and a car on level crossing 59. In a state of shock, the victim , a 45-year-old woman, got out of her vehicle alone despite the violent shock of the accident. Classified as an absolute emergency, she was transported to the Gap hospital center.
The thirty-six passengers on the train are all safe. They were evacuated and taken care of by the SNCF which chartered buses to bring them back to Sisteron. Train traffic was interrupted for two hours. The intervention mobilized eight firefighters divided into three vehicles, the gendarmerie, the city's technical services and the presence of the mayor.
