Amandine Germain (Socialist Party) will not be a candidate for the Socialist Party (PS) in the partial legislative election in the 1st constituency of Isère, indicates Bleu Isère, Wednesday November 6. Lyes Louffok, candidate for La France insoumise (LFI), will represent the New Popular Front.

Amandine Germain explained that she was withdrawing her candidacy “out of a spirit of responsibility, so as not to divide the left”. “I'm a little disappointed but I don't make it a personal matter“, added the socialist who will participate in Lyes Louffok's campaign.

The Ministry of the Interior has not yet specified the dates of this partial legislative election in Isère. An election necessary since the resignation of Hugo Prévost, on October 9, LFI deputy accused of sexual violence. Last July, Hugo Prévost won the seat from Olivier Véran, after a triangular, where he obtained 42.35% of the scores against 40.24% for the former minister.

Olivier Véran announced Tuesday evening that he did not want to run in this election, almost four months after his defeat. It is his deputy, Camille Galliard-Minier, who will be a candidate to represent the presidential coalition. Nathalie Béranger is once again the candidate of the Republican Right (group of deputies Les Républicains). Alexandre Lacroix will be the candidate for Eric Ciotti's new party, Union of Rights for the Republic (UDR). Rémi Adam will be the Lutte Ouvrière candidate. Hervé Gerbi, lawyer and former president of Crif, is also a candidate.
